Description and Background   
Description:
Rhys has close-cropped white hair and wears loose-fitting dark brown peasant clothes. He appears to carry little on him, aside from his sword and a small, tightly-cinched backpack, most of his belongings fitted in his backpack or stowed in saddle bags. Rhys does, however, carry an air of confidence at all times. When traveling, he stows his bow, which is mostly used for hunting, anyway, on Mitch, his pony.

Background:
Rhys is a member of a monastic order that can be found in an old abbey, high in the Altan Stepes, above Castellan. Outside of the normal daily life involved with maintaining an abbey and providing professional labor to the local community, the members train martially in two things - fighting with their hands and fighting with a sword. After several years of training, members are "pushed" out the front door to seek life experiences. Excepting the occasional need for training, when no suitable masters can be found in the world, most members will remain outside the abbey walls for much of their life. They will only make a permanent return after decades of travel has settled a weariness in their bones, if they have not succumbed to an unnatural death in the outside world. It is said only 3 in 10 members returns to live out their life in the abbey, once again helping the local community and training the younger members of the order.
