Description:
Seigfried is is a stout, hearty mountain dwarf with a flaming red hair and his beard braided and knotted back around his head to give him maximum clearance for swinging his trusty Axe (Knotch) or his crossbow.
Background:
Found life at the forge boring and felt the call of the wild. He has the background of a SURVIVALIST:
Survivalist: You are adept at hunting, fishing, and tracking.
Abilities: Surprised only on a roll of 1-in-6. With a successful hunting attempt, a day's food and water may be obtained from the wilderness around you. Tracking chances increased by a factor of 2-in-6.
Fighting Giants: Giants, ogres, and similar giant-type creatures such as trolls
are not good at fighting dwarves, and only inflict half the normal damage
against them.
Keen Detection: Dwarves are good at spotting traps, slanting passages, and
construction while underground.
Saving Throw: Dwarves do not use magic and, as such, are somewhat immune
to its effects; they receive a +4 bonus on saving throws vs. magic (whether or
not the alternate “Saving Throw Matrix†is used).
Languages: For campaigns that give each race its own dialect, Dwarves should
be able to speak with gnomes, goblins, orcs, and kobolds.
