Description and Background
Description:
He isn't a slim man nor a muscular one, he is somewhere in between with a slightly tanned skin. He has short black hair that is a little spiked and a very faint beard that ran from ear to ear. His eyes are pure blue. His face was very normal, it isn't the handsomest of faces nor the ugliest, he had the kind of a face that would blend in in crowds, the only thing that stood out was a small X scar on his left cheek, right under his eye and he unconsciously always tries to hide his scar out of fear of people asking. He detests fighting but never backs down when it's necessary. Always tries to be outgoing but all that mostly comes out is sarcasm and bad jokes, he tends to keep his problems to himself unless absolutely necessary. He believes that everyone should live by their own set of rules and he respects whoever does that, because if you don't live by a set of rules then what distinguishes you from a monster.
Background:
Caiden was born in the city of Janford as the son of a wealthy merchant, he had a great childhood spending his time with his father and mother and big sister. His father was an honest man, he never made any shady deals and turned them down everyday which created a problem to those shady merchants who wanted to make more coin. One day when he was 14 years of old, he was playing with his father at the second floor of the house while his mother and sister were preparing dinner for the whole family. They played joyfully until the heard a loud 'bang' from downstairs, his father thought they dropped something on the floor but he was instantly corrected when he heard the mother screaming. His father was about to run downstairs but before he did, he took Caiden and put him in the corner and covered him with a black cloak and said 'Don't move unless you hear my voice telling you to come out' and quickly ran downstairs. Caiden heard the screams one after the other but his father's words left him motionless. He laid there for 3 hours, long after the screams stopped, he then decided to take a look. He went down the creaking stairs to see his whole family murdered in cold blood. Tears were streaming down his face though he didn't make a sound, the shock just left him unable to open his mouth. After 10 minutes he returned to his senses and decided to leave the house and he unconsciously brought the black cloak with him. He walked down the street slowly, lifeless, not even having a destination in mind. He walked until he collapsed by the side of the street and slept there. He woke up to the feel of rain hitting his face and quickly ran for cover in a close tavern. He took a seat, he was unnoticeable in the crowded tavern. There were a group of men that were very loud and one of them screamed laughing 'YOU WON'T BELIEVE THE LOOK ON HIS FACE WHEN HE CAME DOWN THE STAIRS TO FIND HIS WIFE AND DAUGHTER DEAD', when Caiden heard him his mind just went blank, he stood up and walked to the man.
